The AAPG Foundation promotes the geosciences by distributing technological information, recognizing outstanding achievements, and funding grants, publications, and other initiatives that support data preservation and the advancement of the profession.
We are a separate entity from AAPG but closely aligned with its mission — and through the generosity of our donors, we are able to make an enormous difference in the geosciences, impacting students, educators, professionals, and the public at large.

June 2026 AAPG Foundation Honors Eight Students with 2026 Military Veterans Geoscience Scholarships
As the United States marks its 250th birthday on Independence Day this week, the Trustees of the AAPG Foundation are honoring the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces—and their families—by announcing the recipients of the 2026 Deana and Paul Strunk Military Veterans Geoscience Scholarship Program. Each of the eight recipients will receive a $10,000 scholarship to support their undergraduate geoscience studies.
