How We Help
Through the generosity of our donors, the AAPG Foundation makes an enormous difference in the geosciences — impacting students, educators, professionals, and the public at large.
Our Impact
The Foundation distributes more than $85,000 annually in student awards and scholarships alone.
Since 1967, the AAPG Foundation has invested more than $20 million in educational and scientific activities in geology worldwide. Our programs span every stage of a geoscience career — from K-12 students just discovering the Earth sciences, to graduate researchers pushing the boundaries of knowledge, to experienced professionals seeking recognition for outstanding achievement.
Our Programs
Grants-in-Aid
Graduate-level research grants for M.S. and Ph.D. students whose thesis research relates to petroleum and energy-mineral resources or environmental geology.
